Sobeys Pembina

The one-time Safeway store and a portion of the former Fort Richmond Mall situated at the corner of Killlarney Avenue and Pembina Highway in south Winnipeg was demolished to make way for a new Sobeys. Despite the extreme challenges of coordinating the Owner’s work and retail fit-up scopes within a very short five-and-a-half month period, construction of the stand-alone store was completed on schedule. The new store greets customers with a bright and welcoming space that is easily navigated. In keeping with Sobeys; misison of “bringing better food to all”, the store also features a market-type layout that enhances food discovery and makes it easier for consumers to make healthier food choices.
