Gonzaga Middle School Renovation

Bockstael Construction was engaged as the volunteer Construction Manager on the Gonzaga Middle School project, which provides enhanced education opportunities to residents of the Point Douglas and North East Downtown neighbourhoods. The “Nativity School” offers an enhanced, holistic, middle school education to local vulnerable students, seeking to lower barriers to educational success and build social capital and leadership skills through its strong academic program, before and after school programming, enrichment activities, and mentoring and graduate support programs. Work began with demolition carried out by local social enterprises BUILD and Manitoba Green Retrofit, further encompassing the spirit of the project. The project was funded through volunteer efforts and private donations.
