The 375 Assiniboine Retrofit Project included a complete building envelope and building ventilation upgrade to an existing 17 storey residential highrise. It included new vapour barrier, insulation, metal cladding, stucco, windows, and balcony doors, as well as a new roof-top HRV unit and new vertical duct shafts and in-suite ducting with bulkheads to provide fresh air to each unit. The building is fully occupied.
Work was sequenced to maximize vapour barrier productivity over the summer months, avoid requirements for heating and hoarding over the winter and providing enough coverage to allow cladding work to continue over the majority of the winter.
